The ninth edition of Evento Days will feature a space dedicated solely to sustainability in events.
The Green Corner of Evento Days 2015, occupying an area of 27 m² at stand C31, will offer a dedicated sustainability training program, a Green Market area, and will be managed by Eventsost, the sustainability certification for the MICE sector.
THE GREEN MARKET OF EVENTODAYS 2015, A SEED THAT WILL GROW IN FUTURE EDITIONS.
Our Green Market is designed as an exhibition space to introduce visitors to various technologies, resources, and services they can use to implement sustainability in their events.
The Ecología y Desarrollo Foundation (ECODES) will present its CEROCO2 program, a carbon footprint compensation initiative, strongly linked to social activism and CSR, and with strong implementation in recent years in the national events sector. The Prince of Asturias Awards, the DCODE festival, and the events organized by Eventoplus (EIS, MIS, and Evento Days) are some of the events that achieve "carbon neutral" status through CEROCO2.
EVENTSOST, the sustainability certification system for events being adopted by most MICE sector companies in the country, has designed and coordinated the content of the Green Corner and will have a space within the Green Market to explain how agencies, OPCs, and suppliers in the sector have implemented their own sustainability strategies and the process of obtaining their sustainability certificates.
EKOMON will show us how their reusable eco-cup system can help reduce the amount of waste generated at events while increasing event personalization and visibility resources for sponsors.
MOBBOX is a clear example of how recycling technology can be applied to create an eco-friendly graphic support that can be used at an event, and also extend its useful life by becoming a recycled cardboard case for our mobile phone.
A DEDICATED TRAINING PROGRAM AS EVENTO DAYS' COMMITMENT TO PROMOTING SUSTAINABILITY IN THE SECTOR.
The Green Corner will feature a training area where a dedicated program focused exclusively on event sustainability will be conducted.
On one hand, attendees can participate in the "Tuppergreen" sessions, which, emulating the "Tupperware" meetings of the '80s, will showcase sustainable products and services that can be applied to events.
Two important workshops will also take place: one on healthy and organic catering for events by Marisa Fernández Catering, and another where ECODES will explain how to measure the carbon footprint of an event and how these emissions can be offset, while also aiming to achieve the CEROCO2 label as certification.
Additionally, the Green Corner’s training program will include several conferences related to recycling at events and the production of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) events, among other topics.
As a grand finale, Eventsost has scheduled a roundtable featuring several companies and agencies that have already implemented the Eventsost sustainability certification for events, who will share their experiences with all attendees.
These and other surprises prepared by the Green Corner will make Evento Days 2015 an edition that strongly commits to sustainability.
