Under the motto "You Sustain the World," the Event & Congresses Managers Sustainability Forum (ems'15) will be held in Barcelona. This is the most important training and networking event on sustainability in events ever held in Spain, exclusively aimed at Corporate Event and Congress Managers from private companies and other organizations.
On July 9th, the Event & Congresses Managers Sustainability Forum will take place in Barcelona. This is the first training and networking event on sustainability for events, exclusively targeting corporate professionals. The event is designed as an experiential workshop where attendees can learn about the sustainability of an event from the inside. It aims to foster collective learning among Event & Congresses Corporate Managers and to create a community of sector professionals who generate and share sustainable event experiences, thereby increasing collective know-how in this area.
The Event & Congresses Managers Sustainability Forum (ems’15), which will take place on July 9th at the Hesperia Tower Hotel in Barcelona, has been conceived by its organizers not as a typical workshop, but as an immersive and experiential event. This event aims to boost the collective intelligence of the MICE sector and promote collaborative learning among its attendees, who will discover firsthand how sustainability and CSR can add significant value to the events they organize.
Designed with experiential creativity, ems’15 will highlight the main trends in event sustainability that MICE professionals need to know. This will allow attendees to explore new possibilities for enriching their own events and making them more excellent, especially in raising awareness about how to evolve our supplier chain to achieve more sustainable events.
The Event & Congresses Managers Sustainability Forum aims not only to be a training and educational event but also to become a community of interconnected event professionals around a powerful networking tool. This will facilitate collective learning and the sharing of future experiences to organize events more efficiently and sustainably.
Another key added value of the Event & Congresses Managers Sustainability Forum is that attendees will have the opportunity to consult with expert technicians in event sustainability. They can even request further information to help configure the sustainability strategy of their respective event departments.
ems’15 will begin with an introduction by Alberto Gómez (Director of Ephymera and Coordinator of Eventsost Spain), followed by Eric Mottard (Director of Eventoplus) as the event's host, who will lead the scheduled activities. After the more educational segment, all attendees will enjoy a networking cocktail dinner at The Dome, the fantastic event space atop the Hesperia Tower Hotel. This venue offers one of the best panoramic views of the city and is a main collaborator of the event.
