On September 30th, the "Major Trends in Today's Events Applied to Internal Communication" meeting took place at the headquarters of the Spanish Association of Communication Executives, DIRCOM, where Alberto Gómez, Coordinator of Eventsost for Spain, participated.
During the meeting, Alberto Gómez discussed how sustainability has evolved as a trend within the sector. He noted that in the past decade, it was common for Spanish event agencies to talk about sustainability as a trend without taking any real action. However, there has been a clear shift in approach recently. Thanks to the Eventsost system, many agencies and suppliers in the event sector are now implementing sustainability management systems that enable the design and development of more sustainable events. He highlighted that this shift, along with the advantage of certification with Eventsost, will become a clear trend in the coming years, ultimately becoming a mandatory standard for the sector within four years.
The meeting, moderated by Álvaro Salamanca, Head of Communication and Institutional Relations at SeproEvent, also featured participation from Mar García, General Director of Grass Roots; Mónica Valero, Communications Director at Viesgo; Beatriz Oriol, Managing Partner at RPA Marketing and Communication; Fernanda Udaondo, Head of Corporate Events at Vodafone; Enmanuel Zottola, Site Manager at Roche; and Raúl Valiente, Technical Project Director at Quum.
